dc.descriptionBorn in 1980 in Assam, Biplob Borkakoti is an actor, director, pedagogue and an alumnus of National School of Drama (2006 batch), Delhi. He has acted in more than 50 plays working with renowned theatre directors from India and abroad. He has participated in many International and national theatre festivals including Biennale Bonn (Germany), International Shakespeare Seminar (Romania), Rafi Peer Festival (Pakistan), Ibsen Festival (Bangladesh), Arohan Theatre Festival (Nepal), Bharat Rang Mahotsav and Poorvottar Natya Samaroh etc. Biplob has directed more than 20 plays and conducted more than 60 theatre workshops for children and young theatre enthusiast. He has been an Assistant Professor at Sonapur College, Bongaigaon and visiting faculty to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film & Television Institute, NSD Sikkim Theatre Training Centre, Madhya Pradesh School Of Drama, Punjab University, Craft Film Institute etc. Awarded junior fellowship in 2008-2010, he has directed two documentary films, one on Adolescence issues of the tea garden areas of Assam (UNICEF) and another on Scenography of mobile theatre of Assam. dc.description.abstractTemptation is a devised theatre production on teenage struggles, focusing on academic pressure and the pull of social media. It was presented by the 12th Batch Students of the National School of Drama, TIE Wing, Tripura. Biplob Borkakoti is credited with design and direction, while Himanshu B. Joshi is credited with the script. Niranjan Nath Chanku served as Assistant Director. The production also included choreography, music and sound design, costume design, lighting, videography, makeup, poster and brochure design, and stage management. Shows for children were scheduled for 5–7 February 2026, with a public show on 8 February 2026 at 6:30 p.m., at Ananda Auditorium, Nazrul Kalakshetra, Agartala, Tripura.
