Abstract

Thoda Idhar Thoda Udhar (थोड़ा इधर, थोड़ा उधर) is a children's theatre production presented by the National School of Drama's Theatre-in-Education (TIE) Company during the Kalrav 2026 Sunday Club Theatre Festival. Designed for Sunday Club Part-I (Age Group: 8–11 years), the play appears to explore childhood experiences in the age of digital technology and social media. It imagery—featuring a child beneath a tree surrounded by social media icons and an empty swing—suggests themes of imagination, balance between the virtual and real worlds, friendship, play, and emotional growth. The production is intended to engage young audiences through educational and interactive theatre.

Description

Narendra Singh served as the Group Leader of the production, guiding the young performers through the creative process of theatre-making. Assisted by Ranjana Mangel, the production combines acting, dance, music, visual imagery, and collaborative performance in keeping with the educational objectives of the Theatre-in-Education programme.
