| dc.description.abstract | The Seagull (सीगल) is a Hindi stage adaptation of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov’s classic Russian drama, presented by the National School of Drama, New Delhi, in July 2024. The play explores unfulfilled love, artistic ambition, generational conflict, and emotional isolation among a group of artists and intellectuals living on a country estate. Through layered characters such as Irina Arkadina, Konstantin Treplev, Nina Zarechnaya, and Trigorin, the production reflects on the fragility of human relationships and the struggle between idealism and reality. | |
