| dc.description.abstract | Premchand Ki Ladkiyan (प्रेमचंद की लड़कियाँ) is a theatrical adaptation inspired by the stories of Premchand, one of India's most celebrated Hindi-Urdu writers. The production explores the experiences, aspirations, and struggles of girls and women within Indian society through a series of dramatic episodes adapted from Premchand's socially conscious fiction. Addressing themes such as education, gender equality, social customs, family relationships, and women's empowerment, the play reflects Premchand's enduring concern for justice, dignity, and social reform. Developed for young audiences under the National School of Drama's Theatre-in-Education initiative, the production combines storytelling, music, and ensemble performance to make classic literature engaging and relevant. | |
