Abstract

Costume Demo is a practical theatre training session designed to introduce students to the principles and practice of theatrical costume design. Such demonstrations typically cover costume selection, historical and cultural references, fabric choices, colour symbolism, character interpretation through dress, costume construction, fittings, maintenance, and quick costume changes for stage productions. The objective is to help students understand how costumes contribute to characterization, visual storytelling, and the overall aesthetic of a theatrical performance.
