Abstract
Direction Scenework is a practical theatre exercise designed to develop students' skills in stage direction and performance creation. Through the rehearsal and presentation of selected dramatic scenes, students explore directing methodologies, script interpretation, actor–director collaboration, blocking, rhythm, visual composition, and the relationship between performance space and storytelling.
Description
Amitesh Grover is an Indian theatre director, writer, dramaturg, and educator recognized for his interdisciplinary approach to contemporary performance. His work combines theatre with visual art, archives, literature, and community engagement. As a mentor and faculty member at the National School of Drama, he has guided students in directing, devised performance, dramaturgy, and experimental theatre, encouraging research-driven and innovative approaches to theatrical practice.
