Abstract
The Good Person of Szechwan is a seminal work of epic theatre by Bertolt Brecht that interrogates the possibility of moral goodness within an unjust social and economic system. The play follows Shen Te, a kind-hearted woman whose generosity repeatedly leads to exploitation.
