Abstract

Babuji is a musical stage adaptation of a story by renowned Hindi writer Mithileshwar, dramatized by Vibhanshu Vaibhav. The play explores the emotional and social fabric of rural India through the life of its central character, "Babuji." It addresses themes of family relationships, dignity, changing social values, generational conflict, and the struggles of ordinary people. Incorporating songs and live music inspired by the work of B. V. Karanth, the production blends realism with musical storytelling, making it accessible and emotionally engaging for contemporary audiences.
